I explore the realities of impermanence in light, color and the passage of time. On a conceptual level, my work deals with the conflict between our perception of permanence and the reality of impermanence. It objectifies its referent as its likeness is arrested onto the photographic plate, and links us as “a sort of umbilical cord” to the body of the sitter. Transforming everyday realities into metaphorically unreachable destinations and dreams.
